1.15.2018 Not a lot to report this week….Just a couple of reminders.
It’s time to schedule our mid-year parent/student/teacher conference. Your children will be filling out reflection forms THIS week, reflecting on what has gone well, areas that need work, and setting a goal to make the most of the rest of their fourth grade year. I want to schedule conferences starting on January 22nd and finish conferences before February break (February 23). Please send me an email with 3 times that work for you and I will do my best to make one of them work. MY best times are after school at 2:30, 3:00 or 3:30. (I do have meetings until 3:30 on Wednesday, February 7th and 21st, as well as Tuesday, February 6th and 13th). I can do mornings and evenings if you really cannot get out of work to meet midafternoon. Please be sure your child can make it to this meeting as well (he/she will be conducting the meeting!). I have heard from a couple of people about scheduling this conference but not too many. Please sign up for a conference as soon as you know some days that work for you.
Your children worked very hard on their Abenaki projects last week during the class time I gave them. They will have about 30 – 45 minutest to work on them tomorrow (Tuesday) as well. If you or your child are still not sure of the requirements, all of the information is on the “homework page” of our website. This project is due on or before January 23rd. Thank you for supporting your child in time management skills.
Don’t forget, a week from today we are going to be going to the State House. I am still missing a couple of permission slips…please get them in as soon as possible.
