10.15.2017 Another quiet week.
Thank you to Karen for organizing our Halloween party and all of you who volunteered to help out/send things in. I think we are almost set! (This is the earliest I have ever been this ready). If you did not get an email about the Halloween party and would like to help out for this party or the winter/holiday party, please send me a not granting me permission to share your email address and phone number. (I had the permission form in the “Back to School Night” folders, but I didn’t get them all back).
I have not forgotten about those of you who have volunteered, my goal is to contact you by the end of this week or early next week to set up a time for you to come in. Thank you for your patience.
This week we will be finishing up our first unit in reading. We have been talking about how challenges bring out our best. We have discussed a lot of different challenges such as getting ideas and making friends. We have also looked at how bigger challenges such as natural disasters bring out our desire to help our communities. This has tied nicely into our Earth Science Unit and our Geography Unit as well. Please be sure to talk to your child about what they have learned in these areas.
Third grade will be having their annual Michaelmas celebration on Friday. More information will be coming home on Thursday.
