10.27.19 I am really going to try to keep as much of this week as “normal” as I can. In math we are finishing up our study of addition strategies, and will be moving into looking at the relationship between addition and subtraction in order to help students build their ability to subtract quickly. This week, in reading, we will be looking at fables and what they can teach us. In science we are continuing our study of how our Earth changes. On Friday afternoon, we will be conducting an experiment to see if we can “do anything to slow the effects of erosion.” Again, if anyone would like to come in and help, let me know.
Don’t forget our Halloween Parade starts at 1:00 on Thursday. My plan is to do “regular” work until lunch. After lunch, I will give students an opportunity to change into costumes, do some Halloween puzzles and maybe a story before we line up for the parade. After the parade we will have a snack and if there is time we will have a short story or game.
